Joyce is a lifelong resident of Argyle and grew up attending APC. She enjoyed singing in the Junior Choir and in 7th grade joined the Adult Choir. Her love of music prompted her to take organ lessons from Harry McNeil and after just 3 lessons began getting calls as a substitute organist in many area churches. In 1972 the session offered Joyce the job of organist and choir director and as they say, the rest is history. As her relationship with Christ has grown so has her insight in finding anthems with lyrics that speak to others about the love that Jesus offers. Joyce’s ability to lead in worship is a blessing to our congregation.
Argyle Presbyterian Elders are both elected and ordained.
Elders, give spiritual oversight for the church. They review major ministry decisions and ensure the church remains faithful to the Bible.
Argyle Presbyterian Trustees are elected by the congregation to help manage and care for the church building and grounds.
They use their wisdom and experience to oversee the day-to-day management of the church.
While Argyle Presbyterian Deacons are not part of leadership, they assist the Elders in the care of the congregation.
Tending the physical needs of the congregation and the extension of that to the community.
